We completely reimagined this large garden in Highfield, Wigan, creating a modern outdoor living space with a porcelain patio, bespoke fire pit, artificial lawn, and stunning night-time lighting.
Project Overview
This project began with a huge transformation—over 200 tons of soil and debris excavated to bring the garden down to a manageable and usable level. The new layout gave the clients a spacious and practical blank canvas for modern living.
We installed a large porcelain patio finished with a contrasting porcelain border for definition and luxury. At the heart of the patio is a bespoke, tiled fire pit—the perfect focal point for gatherings, day or night.
Tiled retaining walls and raised beds not only provide structure and split-level interest, but also a great canvas for a carefully planned planting scheme.
A generous area of artificial grass offers year-round greenery and low maintenance, framed beautifully by the modern hard landscaping.
Treated timber batten fencing adds privacy and a contemporary finish, while the full LED lighting plan brings the space to life after dark. Integrated LED wall lights and spike lights highlight the planting, raised beds, and the clean lines of the patio—creating a dramatic, inviting effect at night.
